Pankaj Saharia of Shrewsbury - Appreciation for Professional Societies

Pankaj Saharia of Shrewsbury has achieved great success in the engineering industry as a Structural Engineer. His career began more than 25 years ago following his attainment of a Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering. Since then, he has contributed to a vast-array of projects all around the world.

He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). He is proud of his 25-year membership with the ASCE, which is the nation’s first association of civil engineering professionals and boasts more than 150,000 members across the globe. He is also a member of the US Green Building Counsel (USGBC) and LEED AP. He firmly believes in the environmental cause of the USGBC and enthusiastically provides his expertise in green building projects.

He has been received recognition for numerous achievements made in the field, including for Outstanding Contribution made to the Overhead Coverage System (OCS) that he and several other engineers assisted in the development of for the US Corps of Engineers and Transatlantic Program Center in Iraq.

While he spends much of his time as a Project Manager, he enjoys spending his spare time in the participation of sports, playing golf regularly, as well as activities that are recreational in nature. He is an international travel enthusiast, trivia fan, World History and Geography buff. He also dabbles in instrumental music and spends much of his spare time playing the electric guitar.

Pankaj Saharia of Shrewsbury started a scholarship program for high school seniors.
